As mentioned awhile, we went to see this movie as part of our morale event. I was quite impressed with this new James Bond played by Daniel Craig. It’s true there’s less tech and gadgetry, but this being the initialization of James Bond, I can see that being the case. Plus it wasn’t without any technology. There was that tracing bug and the medical condition transmitter attached with anti-venom producer. Then there’s the really hot girl, Eva Green.

The movie was really well done, hence my high rating. The storyline is basically what the trailer shows. He’s in a gambling match trying to bankrupt an arms dealer, so he’d come in exchange information for protection. Texas Hold’em has gotten so popular, it’s now used in a Bond movie. It has his fair share of action sequences too and well choreographed.
I do have some complaints in regards to the ending(s). It felt like the movie had multiple places it could’ve ended, and it sort of felt like it was dragged out. Then there was the fact the introduced some new characters in the end and didn’t really give those characters enough depth.
Another thing that irked me was when the madam or chief head or whatever she’s called (the one that gives Bond his assignments) told him that Vesper might’ve done more than what he thinks. She told him to think why they didn’t kill him in the shack and kept him alive, suggesting that Vesper made a deal with them to keep Bond alive. However, that can’t be true because they didn’t know the password yet. The entering of the password screen was he recovered in the hospital and that was when he told her the password was her name.
However, given those faults, it was still a pretty awesome movie.
