I found your post as I also was surprised by the long date on Darigold, but as long as it is UHT and not additives this will be my brand from now on.

Buy This all the time so was surprised the Sept. 28 date was spoiled Sept. 7th. Purchased at Fred Meyers.

My family drinks raw milk, from cows feeding exclusively on grass, not grains. The milk lasts for about two weeks, but you have keep it cold, by keeping in the back of the fridge and lowering the fridge temp.

Another thing, raw milk becomes sour, but pasteurized milk becomes rancid. You have throw out rancid milk, but sour milk to still useable.

I read that you work for Microsoft, but I don’t know where you live. If you work at Microsoft HQ, then you can purchase raw milk at the Whole Foods in Bellevue.

Ultra-pasteurized will last longer unopened, but whether ultra-pasteurized or just plain pasteurized, milk is still only good for about a week after you open it. I know this because my friend worked in the dairy department at an upscale grocery store in Houston.
