I’ve actually switched over to iCloud calendars for my personal stuff, but at work, we still use a shared Google Calendar.

I’ve been having a conversation with the support folks over at Flexbits and it does seem like an issue that has been around for sometime. I’ve done some further debugging into it and the alarms/reminders do eventually sync, but there’s an extra reminder I can’t seem to get rid of.

I switched to iCloud calendars over a year ago because of this event alert sync problem. It’s been pretty bulletproof.

I thought it would be a pain in the butt having to log into the iCloud website instead of just Google to see my calendars on the web. Turns out I hardly need to do that anymore anyway. I just use my iPhone and Mac (Fantastical is on both) to view and edit calendars.
