USPS Priority Mail Online Postage

I miss my T3 connection ;(. Although it was slow to outside connections, it was amazingly fast between edu connections and movies within 15mins! Anime took me 4mins before. Now they take me half an hour. *sniff*.

Anyway, nothing much happened to me today. I just found out something great about USPS. They now allow you to buy postage for Priority Mail online! So all you need to do now, is print and drop off. NO MORE WAITING IN LINE @ the post office! Isn’t that awesomely cool!?!?!

My summer’s starting to right layout before my eyes. My work is requiring a lot of my time. The company is moving to a new building and harrybons and I have to setup the network and make sure it’s running perfectly before they move over. It’s really not hard work and stuff we really know how to do well.

Home’s been fun so far. Haven’t seen any friends yet tho. Hope there’ll be a gathering soon. ^_^x

Learning PHP

just got back from san francisco on sunday nite and still unpacking. it was a great week besides that i didn’t have much internet access. the site will not resume normal progress until probably friday or this weekend because while i was staying @ SF, i’ve learnt or began learning php thanks to cunndogg. this is going to make my life so much easier. u see that menu on the left, i can no program that once and it’ll automatically know what to highlight, what to extend depending on the link you clicked. php IS SO POWERFUL!!!

also, when i got home, i found a motherboard sitting on my desk. I ACTUALLY WON SOMETHING FROM THAT AMD & NVIDIA sweepstakes. w00h00! check out the 2nd place winner list for my name ^_^x

I’d be happy to announce the 2nd wave of pictures (last of dorm & dave’s bday) are up and ready to be viewed and laughed at (or enjoyed if that’s what you do). hehe. Enjoy and have a great summer and i’ll probably be back up and running on friday. I start working on Wednesday ^_^x

Peak of Project Mischief

My own domain is finally up! w00h00!!! It might be a bit slow, but what else can you expect to get out of less than $4/year. I won’t be updating much in the next few days due to finals.The following items do not work: Old News; #calnime; Picture of the Week. You can still accessthe old stuff @ OCF. Wow, I just realizehow much more I can do when I own my own domain: scripts, programs, possibilities are justlimitless. THIS IS AWESOME!!!

I’d be glad to announce the peak of Project Mischief was a great success. Phase II is completed and Phase III is just the cool down period. I can’t believe I hit 30GB in one day. Total for this week was 110GB.

Welp, wish me luck guys, and I won’t be back till probably after finals. I mean this site won’t probably be updated till I return home for summer. ^_^x

A lot has happened. Several sad personal things with dad and friends. Also with stress placed upon me by finals. And now what to do over summer? Work? School? Relax? When you want to do something, you realize it’s too late. Sigh…

One good thing did happen to me though. I found my lost booklet of stamps. Still had 10 in them. (10 first class stamps = $3.40 + the walk to/from the post office).

Free Will – Part 2

What a day?!?! My alarm started ringing @ 11:30 but I didn’t wake up till 12pm when the phone rang. Hehe. Had lunch with my dear keppelites and then went straight to studying. First midterm is on next Tuesday (sorta late). Mechy and I had a somewhat productive day, clearing 3 chapters of psych. ^_^x Funny part was there was only 3 hrs of studying, but we had over 5hrs of break time (this doesn’t include the extra 2 hrs we watched the movie after studying).

Continuing yesterday’s debate, so what is free will? Is it the ability to make a decision? Or is there no free will at all since all decisions are affected by environment and mental states. My psych teacher gave me these 3 quotes: “Transcend the past. Transform the present. Make the future.” A very beautiful quote may I add. What the quote says is that human minds aren’t like tape recorders. What our brain encodes/retrieves will not always be the same as the original source. Since our present is affected by the past, we can say that there is no free will. However, because human minds aren’t tape recorders, we have the ability to transcend our past (meaning to able to see it differently and surpass it from holding us back). By altering the way we see our past, we can alter our present (transform the present). Now that we have control of our present, creating a future no longer seems like it’s being controlled by fate. The debate’s not over yet and I’ve only given you several viewpoints on it. So it’s up to you to decide if you have free will or not. Free Will

guess what!!! My kenshin dvds finally arrived. W00h00!!! I’m so happy. Me so happy. I’m so happy! ALSO: Didn’t have much idea so for the Pic of the Week, so I asked my friend liam to help me out. You should go check it out.

What is Free Will?
Recently my suitemates were debating if human’s have free will. The debate went somewhere along the lines of this:
Cunndogg: free will is basically our choices.
Liam: our decisions are altered depending on the environment and the past, therefore it’s not free will since factors can affect our decision.
Cunndogg: the fact he chose means it was free will. He could’ve chosen either one, and having that choice and making a decision equals to free will.
Liam: you don’t make a choice based on nothing. Like one day you decide you wanted to research on your religion that your parents had, you don’t just randomly do it, there must’ve been factors that affected you to make the decision. Say that Sam wants to learn more about his jewish background. Why? Probably because he was shown how rich the jewish culture was one day and that excited him. He wouldn’t go studying some other religion for no reason.
Cunndogg: the fact that he had a choice of researching and not to research is free will. He has the choice of going to study any religion he wants to, but factors just made it more likely that he’ll study jew because he was part jewish.
Liam: that’s the point I’m trying to make. Because he was part jewish and maybe he recently discovered more about his jewish background, he felt more inclined to study it which means it was not free will.
Cunndogg: I get what you’re saying, but I guess it all comes down to:

Mechy and Girls

Project Mischief is underway pretty good. Phase II was supposed to be completed with ease, however, I lost 24hrs. *sniff*. Time is precious when there’s a war going on. Hope I can make up for lost time.

Recently, I noticed I used the word ‘welp’ more often than I ever used. In fact, I never recalled using that word at ALL!!! I wonder what go me started. I always use: oh well, but I noticed I no longer used that now. I wonder if it’s because of my lazy butt and the welp saves me 3 keystrokes. ;p

I finally got evidence of mechy and his girls. This was all a coincidence. We all know mechy won’t show us the real thing when he knows we’re around. Sorta haveta bump into him to know the real truth. (was that a double positive? Is there such a thing???) Pic1 | Pic2 :: from what I recalled, at least one of the girls present in the pix was different from the girls I bumped into last week. I wonder what mechy is pointing for them. Either to his room (oooh la la!!!) or just giving them a tour (meaning it’s their first time here!!!). hehe -_^x

Thanks to great friends like panzer and mercurial, I finally got my hands on The Storm Riders! WHAT A GREAT MOVIE!!! Sigh, I miss those days with all the good Chinese kung fu movies. They all suck now. Too much computer, not enough action. If you haven’t seen this, this is SUPER RECOMMENDED. I’d show you some pix, but it’ll just spoil the movie for you. For those that want it and has an EDU connection, msg me.

Project Mischief – Final

welp, without further delay, here it is: Project Mischief. With only 3 weeks of school left, I’ve gone all out and violate the bandwidth rule big time. After telling several friends about what I’m going to do, they suggested I go for the 65gb mark which was foothill’s current highest bandwidth violation. As you can see from project mischief, I hit 66gb with Sunday breaking the 12gb mark. Phase I was a great success. Phase II and III will follow in hoping that I’ll break the 100gb mark. Why I decided to do this? Because of the stupid bureaucracy. One, they’re stupid in implementing this rule which does more harm than help. Two, violations of 100megs are put in the same level as violation of several gigs. Three, it took them 2months to summon me to the PRB (peer review board). Since PRB has been dismissed already, and the rescomp will very likely be able to do anything within 2 weeks (especially since it’s finals time), bandwidth violation will no longer matter.

Today was coincidence day. I’ve bumped into so many people and so did mechy. After psych class, we went to the student store to get red scantrons. As we were lining up to pay, we saw cari leave the cashier, but she left before we could say hi. On our walk back up to foothill, mechy bumped into like 5 of his friends, which he claims several he never saw this year. At the pinnacle of our hike, we bumped into lilpebbles which we haven’t seen in ages. It was a fun day. One more day of school!

Lately, I’ve been having midnight snacks all the time. Never had that experience before. Maybe it’s stress and I’ve heard stress makes you hungry. Or it could’ve been I didn’t have any food or disliked the food I have stored. Hehe. Anyway, I hope to change this habit and for now, g’nite and ~sweet dreamz~ ^_^zzz

Project Mischief – Phase I

welp, phase I of project mischief is completed with great success. Was going to post it today. Actually, I’ll tell you the whole story. The project wasn’t ready @ 4am, so I decided I’ll just post it tomorrow. But then now that it’s 6am, the project has been completed and I thought, okay I’ll post it up today. Thinking one step further, no one knows what project mischief really is… so of u guys might, but most don’t. So let’s just say project mischief isn’t anything really snpectacular or great nor a project itself. Just being mischievous is part of human nature. Therefore, I’ve decided to post it up tomorrow. (I know that did not make any sense at all, I think it’s just me that wants to hang you guys by a thread a little longer, but that wouldn’t make much sense either since you guys weren’t on the thread in the first place). I actually think I’d be more anxious to show it to you guys.

Today I shot the moon 3x in a row!!! (is that what it’s called?) My next goal will be to shoot it 4x and win in 4 rounds w/ everyone dead! MUWHAHAHAHA! (btw, the names of the other players have no link to real life. Hearts just pre-makes them and I never figure out how to change them.)
